Below are answers to common questions about our building sale and transition, as it pertains to University Synagogue Pre-school. Click on a question to expand and see the answer.

1. Does registration remain the same for the 2025-2026 school year?
Yes, all registration for the 2025-2026 school year scheduling and activities will remain the same. The moving process will definitely not take place until after the 2025-2026 school year has ended. While we search for the perfect space and begin the remodeling process, which could take up to a year and a half, our commitment to providing consistent and dependable childcare and education will continue.
2. What does the process of transitioning into a new location look like?
As we get closer to a moving date, parents and families will be informed every step of the way. We will NOT interrupt a school year or summer camp session. Careful attention will be paid to making sure there is as minimal downtime as possible, and consistency of childcare and schooling is a priority. We will be renovating and developing our new school while conducting all regularly scheduled programming and childcare in our current building.
3. How far will we be moving?
We are actively exploring nearby options, focusing on knowing that many of our families reside in Irvine. There are many options close to us that would work. We can start looking once we have more certainty about the property sale. The new location will be close to our current site, beautiful, and welcoming, and we are committed to finding the right fit for the preschool’s needs.
4. What new programs will be added?
We are excited and actively dreaming of programming we will now be able to offer that we weren’t able to before. The primary goal is a dedicated space for an infant and toddler component of our preschool. Modern playground and outside space enhancements, as well as new classroom designs, are also being planned. We invite our families to please share their feedback on what they would like to see in a new space.
